Don Andrews is a Mayoral Candidate in Toronto Election 2014.
He filed his nomination papers on January 2 2014.
Notably, until the 1974 Old City of Toronto municipal Election, whichever Mayoral Candidate came in second would become Mayor if the position became vacant during the term for whatever reason.
In 1974, Don Andrews placed a very distant 2nd Place to Re-Elected Mayor David Crombie. Because Don Andrews is a White Supremacist, City Council freaked out. They changed the By-Law. As luck would have it, this rule-change made a difference later on when Mayor Crombie ran for a Federal Seat and won. Alderman Fred Beavis was appointed by City Council as Interim Mayor to complete Crombie's remaining term.
