Davis Pride doesn't discriminate when it comes to orientation: people of all walks of life are welcome! It's a fun-filled day. Starting with the 5k/10k Run/Walk for equality followed by the festival with educational booths, acceptance, love, community, and delicious food. 2016 will feature a pet zone sponsored by Lasher Auto who will pay for pet adoptions that day, a free photobooth, kids zone, community stage and main stage with Ty Herndon as the headliner.

More importantly, Gay Pride Day commemorates the anniversary of the Davis Civil Rights Ordinance. This ordinance which prohibits discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation was among the first of its kind in the United States. A challenge to the ordinance was overwhelmingly defeated by Davis voters. On this day the gay community and friends celebrate with festivities. After a ten year hiatus Davis Pride return to Davis in 2015 produced by The Davis Phoenix Coalition a local group who mission is the prevention of hate crimes and incidents.

This year, food will be sold by:

  • Puros Churros
  • We Cook for you
  • Woodstock's Pizza
  • The Lumpia Shack
  • Woodys Wagon frozen treats
  • Kettle Topia
