Ben & Jerry's sells both ready to go and custom ice cream cakes. Each cake and design is made by one of the two on staff cake decorators.

Traditionally, Ben & Jerry's ice cream cakes come with two layers of ice cream and two layers of either brownie or cookies, although this year there are some new and exciting options. Each custom cake still comes in any flavor (or two flavors) that are available at the local scoop shop in Davis. However, you now have more filling options. Not only can you choose between cookies and brownies, but you can also choose between fudge, caramel, peanuts, crushed oreos, sprinkles ( chocolate or rainbow), and poundcake.

We can also make sorbet cakes, frozen yogurt cakes, gluten free cakes, and nut free cakes, as well.

The cakes are frosted and can be decorated with cookies, candies, brownies, chocolates, candy bars, caramel drizzles, chocolate drizzles, drawings, fudge. You name and it and we are pretty sure we'll be able to do it.

It is best to give us a three to five day notice on cake orders, but just in case, ready to go cakes are available for pickup. We often have a full freezer of ready to go cakes, made with popular flavor combinations. Although short notice is not recommended, cakes can be made be made to order if at least a 24 hour order notice is given by calling 530-756-5964, or by stopping into place the order in person.

2005-10-29 16:21:48   The best cake I ever had was a frozen yogurt cake I bought from TCBY. You'll never want to go back to the fluffy type again. (p.s. Does this page seem a little commercial to you or is it just me? I guess it's just me.) —SteveDavison

2005-10-29 17:21:37   Well Steve, have you ever had a Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Cake because it is not the "fluffy tpe." We use dense chocolate brownies on the base of the cake, and a layer in the middle as well. As far as the "commercial" aspect of this page. The wiki will only get better when local businesses get involved. Ben & Jerry's is just on the forefront. —RobRoy

2005-10-29 17:28:49   Plus, TCBY closed anyway. I'm totally down for B&J's cake. And I think the Davis ben and jerry's is actually better than most. —JaimeRaba

2005-10-29 17:30:46   Does B&J have non-ice cream (frozen yogurt, sherbet, or ? something low/non-fat?) I've never had one, but they look great. Actually, I'm an evangelist for non-fluffy cakes -I really think your type are SO much classier. —SteveDavison

2005-10-29 17:32:18   RE: Commercial aspect. That thought had definitely occurred to me, so it was meant as a 'request for comment' and not in any way a criticism. —SteveDavison

2005-10-29 17:33:30   Was there a TCBY in Davis? It should be on the Departed Businesses page. —SteveDavison

2005-10-29 17:35:48   TCBY used to be next to the N.Davis Dos Coyotes. That particular location closed, I do believe. —JaimeRaba

2011-08-13 05:59:54   Woah. These are some wildly colorful new designs. I like the adventurous spirit. A piece of advice for the coral cake. You can use the fish from the Phish Food by fishing out a few fudge fish with a popsicle stickle, putting the fish on a piece wax paper in the freezer for a 15 minutes and then running very cold water over the fish to clear of the little bits of ice cream still stuck the them. It is rather easy to do. Keep it up. —RobRoy
