A QR Code is a two dimensional bar code used to encode a message, phone number, or URL. They have started to appear around the area, usually in marketing materials. The codes can be read by software on a mobile phone, and allows hands-free access to web sites.
The COVID-19 pandemic greatly accelerated the use of QR codes across all uses, and they are very typically now found in mobile ordering and menus for all types of restaurants.
