The Earthen Jar is on Fifth between Liberty and William, right next to the Downtown Library parking lot. They offer a buffet of vegetarian and vegan Indian dishes, salad and lasagna for dine-in or take-out. Everything on the buffet costs $4.99 a pound, but there are also individually sold desserts at the counter, and a wide selection of drinks to choose from, usually including a couple flavors of sweet lassi (mango, etc.). The atmosphere is nice and calm, Bob Marley's music is often played in the background.
Gurcharan K. Sethi is the owner.

It doesn’t matter who said “You become what you eat.” It is more important that you believe it. And Gurcharan K. Sethi, 53, from Iran, took it so seriously that she became vegetarian.
